The Literary Piano was founded by Boston-based writer/musician Mimi Manyin. Mimi is a classically trained musician who has worked as a special event pianist for over a decade. Mimi is also a literary fiction and speculative fiction writer and editor. Her work has been published in Ploughshares, Witness, Michigan Quarterly Review, Meridian, Greensboro Review, and more. Mimi also hosts Silent Reading Parties and Silent Writing Parties where she improvises in classical and contemporary styles on the piano to promote the love of books and music.
